The types of waste listed below should NOT be placed in mixed waste bins/trash bins due to their size or environmentally hazardous characteristics, but instead should be sent separately for recovery:

  • bulky waste: doors, wardrobes, kitchens, mattresses, sofas, beds, furniture, etc.
  • electrical and electronic waste: WEEE - televisions, computers, printers, lamps, neon, large and small household appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, dishwashers, hair dryers, electric ovens, air conditioners, mobile phones; etc.
  • mowing and pruning.

How does the home collection service work? (excluding mowing and pruning)
The home collection service for bulky materials can only be booked through the dedicated portalby logging in with SPID or CIE.

If the material on display does not conform to what was authorised with the telephone reservation (volume, number of items, etc.), the local police will be notified, who will make the appropriate enquiries.

Collection centres
All users, both domestic (households) and non-domestic, may deliver their bulky waste, electrical and electronic waste and other materials such as rubble, iron, prunings, car batteries, vegetable oils, etc. free of charge to the Collection Centres on the days, times and in the manner indicated on the website.

Paid collection service
Non-domestic users who want home collection or who have large quantities to deliver should contact Messinaservizi Bene Comune by emailing info@messinaservizibenecomune.it to receive this service subject to an appropriate quote for pick-up and transport activities.

Attention: Please remember to comply with national and municipal regulations to avoid sanctions for illegal waste dumping.
