"On Monday 4 November we will start the new door-to-door separate waste collection service in Zone 2 of the North Area of Messina, specifically in the villages and hamlets of Mortelle, Torre Faro, Faro Superiore, Sperone, Ganzirri, S.Agata, Contrada Fortino, Contrada Sena, Contrada Porticatello, part of the Panoramic Road from Contrada Forte Spuria to Contrada Arcieri, Principe, Pace, Grotte, Contemplazione, Paradiso, Rione Case Basse up to the roundabout at the bottom of the Annunziata, excluding, however, the latter village. We were unable to start this area on 28 October as we had hoped because of some problems with the delivery of kits to some apartment blocks. Moreover, as next week is All Saints' Day and the commemoration of the dead, we preferred to postpone it to 4 November'. This was said by the president of Messinaservizi Bene Comune Giuseppe Lombardo, who added: "We are satisfied because already in the first villages where door-to-door collection has begun, in zone 1 of the South and North areas, we are seeing comforting results with significant increases in differentiated waste. At the end of November we hope to start the door-to-door also in the other zones of the North and South areas, and in January-February we hope to start with the city centre". "At the moment," Lombardo continues, "only for residents in zone one of the Southern Area, those who have not received the kit, can go to Inpost in Contrada Pozzi, building S.
