Then, by the end of June, the other 500 containers will be placed, bringing the total to 1,000 and thus serving the entire city. "This is a sign of civilisation," said the president of Messinaservizi Bene Comune Giuseppe Lombardo.
In Messina, there is often a very poor civic sense that damages the city's image and people's health. But, from now on, for the owners of 'four-legged friends' there will no longer even be the alibi of the lack of containers for droppings. This is also an important sign to allow our animal friends and their owners to spend more time in the open air without having to worry about going home to throw dog droppings. The containers will also be installed in public villas, squares, children's play areas and all public places in the city. The containers are made entirely of galvanised and painted sheet metal, consisting of a fixed casing and a front panel hinged on one side with a universal triangular key lock, which can only be opened by the operator to carry out all bag changing and cleaning operations.
